Olbia's Treasure Black Onyx Greek Museum Reproduction Earrings
Olbia's Treasure Black Onyx 22KT Satin Finish Yellow Gold Over Pewter Pierced Post Greek Museum Reproduction Earrings c. 200 B.C. from the collection of the Walters Art Museum. The original necklace from "The Olbia Treasure" was found by Russian peasants in 1891 when they discovered an ancient burial tom chamber near the small town of Olbia, on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine, where there was once a Greek colony. The necklace consisted of several large gems in oval and box settings, semi-precious stones, gold chains, and connectors. These stunning earrings are reproductions of one of the oval set gems.
The elegant Earrings measure approx. 16mm long and 13mm wide, weigh 4.3 grams and feature Surgical Steel Posts. Each Black Onyx Stone measures approx 10mm long x 7mm wide.
These beautiful earrings are handcrafted in the U.S.A. and a provenance card is included in the gift box.
