The ancient Egyptians believed that onyx, when worn around the neck, could aid in spiritual inspirations and help the wearer to restrain excessive passion.
Gold, which never lost its luster and seemed to reflect the power and glory of the sun, was regarded as a divine metal.
The highly polished Black Onyx gemstone measures approx. 6mm in diameter and is encompassed by two 24kt gold plate caps. These earrings feature shepherd's hook for easy wear.
